Masters Degree in Green Care

Masters Degree in Green Care - Plant and Animal based Interventions in Education, Consulting and Therapy

This part-time course is aimed at all who work in the educational, advisory, therapeutic, or "green" environment and are interested in the field of Green Care - for professional development or acquisition of additional qualifications. The aim of this part-time master degree program is to train experts / professionals for the Green Care field.

Contents of the course are

  • to plan educational and therapeutic interventions in consultancy with animals and plants, and perform interventions.
  • to develop Green Care projects or  to implement in institutions and to disseminate.
  • Scientific data collection, evaluation and derive conclusions.
  • Scientific data evaluation in selected Green Care topics.
  • Theoretical content to become a certified life and social consultants.

 

Admission criteria
 
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent program in the amount of 180 credits at a recognized Austrian or foreign post-secondary / tertiary educational institution or
• Proof of qualification examination for Agriculture and Forestry teaching and support services at the College of Agricultural and Environmental Paedagogics and its predecessor organizations in connection with several years of relevant work experience and evidence of training days .


Course content

The course comprises 9 compulsory modules and an excursion and a practical module. Writing a master thesis (30 ECTS) is mandatory.
